8-Day Itinerary Model Course
Day 1: Arrival & Meknes – Stay at a Riad in Fes
Arrive at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport in the morning and head straight to Meknes. Explore the Bab Mansour gate, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, and Dar el Ma (Water House). Then, continue to Fes. Catch the sunset over the medina from the Marinid Tombs before checking into your Riad for a two-night stay.

Day 2: Exploring the Medina of Fes – Stay at a Riad in Fes
Spend the day discovering the historic Fes El Bali. We highly recommend exploring with a licensed local guide to navigate the world’s largest car-free urban area.

Day 3: Journey to the Sahara – Stay at a Riad near the Merzouga Dunes
Note: This day involves an 8+ hour drive. For a more relaxed pace, we recommend splitting this journey into two days. Depart Fes at 8:30 AM. This drive offers some of the most surprising landscapes in Morocco. Pass through “Little Switzerland” Ifrane, and meet wild monkeys in the Azrou Cedar Forest. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains, taking in the breathtaking views of the Ziz Valley, before arriving at the golden dunes of the Sahara by sunset.

Day 4: Sahara Desert Immersion – Stay at a Luxury Desert Tent
Discover the secrets of the desert. Visit Khamila Village to enjoy traditional Gnawa music and stroll through a lush oasis. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the dunes for a magnificent sunset. Spend the night under the stars in a luxury desert camp.

After that, at the campsite why not exchange your snacks, sweets, wine and beer with other tourists and have a good time before you are served dinner.

Day 5: Todra Gorge & Dades Valley – Stay in Dades Valley
After watching the sunrise over the dunes and enjoying breakfast, depart for Rissani to visit its traditional souk. Continue to the towering cliffs of the Todra Gorge for a walk through the canyon, then drive along the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” to the Dades Valley.

Gorges du Todrha
Day 6: Ait Ben Haddou & High Atlas – Stay at a Riad in Marrakech
Pass through Kelaat M’Gouna (famous for its roses in late April/early May). Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning fortified clay village.

Ait-Ben-Haddou
Then, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m). Arrive in Marrakech and stay at a charming Riad in the heart of the old city.
Day 7: Full Day in Marrakech – Stay at a Riad in Marrakech
Explore the vibrant “Red City.” While Marrakech is easier to navigate on your own than Fes, a guide is recommended to skip the lines and learn the history.
